Borncut machines

More about Borncut
The founders of Borncut invented the “portion cutter” as we know it back in 1992. At the time, they worked for NORFO, a small company based on Bornholm. NORFO was later sold to the Danish company Scanvaegt International, which was subsequently acquired by the Icelandic company Marel.
Throughout this time, the founders continued to develop and implement new technology, establishing Bornholm as a global center for portioning solutions. They remained dedicated to advancing portioning technology, constantly improving and innovating their original invention.

IB Food-Machines is based in Urk and for good reason. Here, our founder Ingmar Baars has seen first-hand how the local fish industry works. When he got the opportunity to become a supplier of processing machines for this industry, he grabbed it with both hands. Because he knew exactly what entrepreneurs needed, IB Food-Machines made a strong start.
We now also work for meat and poultry producers and supply over 15 renowned brands. Since 2024, we have also been the proud owner of portioning specialist Borncut.
