The machine has one track and consists of two main systems:
Belt conveyor system. A conveyor belt driven by a servo motor.
Roll-up system. Driven by a servo motor.
A control system with a multi-touch screen user interface, placed on the BC Portion Cutter, collects data from the servo system and processes it according to the desired cutting patterns. The control system controls the servos accordingly.
The items to be sorted enter the conveyor belt directly from the Portion Cutter. Depending on the selected cutting programme, items are automatically sorted by retracting the slide unit and the belt backwards to create an opening in the conveyor. Items then fall onto another desired conveyor or container. Portions that should not be rejected are transported past the opening by pulling the sliding unit and belt forward to the closed opening in the line and delivered to the next conveyor.
The QuickSort is only intended for processing non-frozen and soft food items such as chicken fillets, fish fillets or similar in size and structure to poultry, meat or fish products.
